The work was commissioned by Don Armando Cattaneo, current Bishop of Monza e Brianza. The execution took approximately fourteen months and the Via Crucis was officially inaugurated on 29 June 2001. A copy of the frescoes is held at the Iglesia Jes\u00fas Divino Maestro in Lima, Peru. They were entirely made with the ancient fresco technique and placed on the church colonnade. The work was commissioned to Barbara Pietrasanta by Don Armando Cattaneo, the current Bishop of Monza and Brianza, whose comments you can also read by clicking on each station. The construction lasted about 14 months and the Via Crucis was officially inaugurated on June 29, 2001.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><h5><br><strong>A copy of the frescoes is located in the Iglesia Jes\u00fas
